Michael is a Senior Creative Services Professional servicing a roster of Media clients. CG 3D & 2D Animation, Stereoscopic 3D, Creative Management and Design Direction TVart, Inc./ Michael Busch Creative Services – Executive Creative Director NBC Studios On-Air Promotions – 3D Design Director Varian Medical Systems, FOX TV, Mattel Entertainment, Disney Studios: Design and management of creative deliverables, integrity of print, on-air, and web graphical requirements for various studio properties. Michael has been instrumental in the design and launch of innovative gaming projects in addition to working with Buena Vista Home Entertainment on several DVD releases from Disney’s storied archives. ‘The Disney Vault’ is an ongoing promo campaign to release Disney Classics including Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and The Lion King, for which Michael directed the pre-vis, on-set vfx and post-poduction. TVart, Inc.: While building broadcast design company TVart , Michael maintained executive-level relationships with two leading Hollywood post-production houses creating independent design studios within each. In doing so, he had the privilege of designing for some of television’s most diverse brands including The Grammy Awards, Universal Studios, Sony-Columbia, United Airlines, Toyota, Sony, and Pacific Theatres. Broadcast Design Awards' recognition include those for an interactive kiosk conceived and designed for Nissan, and a series of user-driven interface applications for Universal Consumer Products. TVart created a stake in the burgeoning arena of DVD menu design with dozens of titles for hollywood studio films while inventing proprietary and innovative design and technical processes. NBC: Michael launched what was then the only in-house design studio of any of the broadcast networks. The MAGIC Room was the source for award-winning campaigns. It has since grown to be the exclusive supplier for NBC-Universal and related studio properties, employing dozens of creative personnel, helping to reformat network television promotion. This unit helped revolutionize the concept of Network TV Branding, and sent NBC to record ratings. While at NBC, Michael helped to promote such hits as Cheers, LA Law, Seinfeld, ER, and Friends, which ultimately catapulted "Must See TV" into one of the all time greatest ratings success stories in Television history. Digital Productions / Robert Abel & Associates: Michael worked as Digital Manager on the film ‘The Last Starfighter’ sharing in the Academy Award presented to Digital Productions for special achievement in technical visual effects. While at Robert Abel & Associates, he was a part of the award-winning team of 3D animators and artists on film and commercial projects. From an internal group of start-up minded Creatives, a new company was formed around the proprietary 3D software then called 'Wavefront'. He participated in design and research with the platform of products, which eventually became what is now the worldwide leader in CG visual effects software, Maya. Graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Communication Design. Born and raised in Amherst, New York, Michael resides in Los Angeles, CA and Tuscany, Italy. Along with his partner David, he produces the finest Tuscan-Estate Olive Oil in the world under the brand name of 'La Chiusa-in-Chianti'. |
